Mission Valley Condos in San Diego The Abbey is a very small community of just nine units at the western end of Mission Valley and very close to the University of San Diego. These units are unique in Mission Valley due to their size and construction. One of them is actually a single family detached home with no common walls, and several of them could be considered single-family attached homes rather than condominiums or townhomes. If you like to golf, Riverwalk Golf Course, a public course, is directly across Friars Road, and Fashion Valley Mall, several San Diego Trolley stations, Mission Bay, and SeaWorld are also very close by. Walkers, joggers, and bikers will enjoy the concrete paths along the the San Diego River from Qualcomm Stadium all the way to Mission Bay, Ocean Beach, and Mission Beach, a distance of about seven miles. The Abbey was built in 1972. Units range in size from 1,302 square feet to 2,822 square feet. Bedroom/bathroom floor plans include 2/2, 2/4, 3/2, 4/2, and 4/5. All units have in-unit laundries. Because there are so few units and they rarely sell, it's difficult to get an accurate estimate of the HOA dues, but it appears that they range from about $300 to $500 a month and include common area maintenance, landscaping, exterior building and roof maintenance, water (possibly including hot water), and limited insurance. There are no units currently for sale, and none have sold since 2008. Following are the most recent sales in The Abbey: For a more detailed look at Mission Valley, If you would like to be informed of any units in The Abbey that come on the market, or if you'd like to visit any unit in the other 38 condominium complexes in Mission Valley, or a property anywhere in San Diego County, please contact me. Jim - Sounds like the desirability of these condos/single family attached and detached homes are in such demand that nothing has been available for 3 years! Amazing!
Jim - Wow, the Abbey in Mission Valley sounds like a very unique community and great place to live, I can't believe there are only 9 units.
Jim - These photos seem to give you a real sense of the place ... it has a comfortable aura around it! Great Job!
Wow! 300-500 per month for HOA dues?! What kind of amenities do they have?
Looks like a nice little enclave, Jim. Almost an exclusive one with a touch of hominess.
Jim,
Sounds like "the Abbey" is a very settled community. I'm always amazed to see communities like that, because there aren't many.
Best,
Steve
