Idaho Foreclosures Double

News just posted at the Idaho Statesman website shows that foreclosures in Idaho have doubled in the last year.  RealtyTrac shows 543 foreclosures in Idaho for August...and that's 28% higher than last month and 125% higher than last year.  The full story: http://www.idahostatesman.com/newsupdates/story/161600.html

It's unfortunate to see these numbers.  Mortgage professionals (realtors, lenders, attorneys) should do their clients a service by making sure future transactions aren't headed south.  Educate clients on mortgage terms (especially adjustable terms) so they're not surprised down the road.  There's more to business than making a profit.  In fact, protecting clients might be the best investment you'll ever make, since happy clients are the best source of referrals.

I still think we haven't gotten past the tip of the ice berg with this issue!  I'm sure it is going to get much worse!

Business advice and useful information. Not always "on point" with mortgage lending or real estate...but that's BIG business, and knowing how to operate effectively is critical to success.
