I've always recommended having a mission statement. It tells your team who you are and what you stand for. Don't underestimate the power of this. My assistant committed herself so much to this that once I had a client hit hard times and had no money to fix her air conditioner (long story) So what does my assistant do? She went out and bought a wall unit to get her through the tough Florida summer. I had tears in my eyes. It's this type of dedication that you can't buy in people. They have to believe in the greater cause.
I hope this inspires someone out there.
