Have you ever attended the Opening of YOUR state's Session in the Senate
or the House?
Here in Florida it is a very festive occasion. Friends and relatives send flowers to their legislator, which they place at their desks in the House and the Senate Chambers. Friends and guest in the Gallery are presented with a sea of flowers as they look down. Some family members are permitted to sit with the legislators on the House and Senate floors.
After the ceremonies in the Senate and in the House, other family members are permitted to visit the Senate or House floor and have their photos taken in front of the great State Seal.
Everybody should attend the Opening Session of their State Legislature at least once!
