4 Comments on Sculpture in Laramie, Wyoming - Can You Find It? (#2)
Hi Brenda - Ok you win, I have no idea of what this lady could be. I cheated and looked on the internet however there is nothing there on the statue.
Brenda, Gee, I am 0 for 2 so far on this series. I really did live there once, of course it was a long time ago. Keep them coming, sooner or later I will now the answer to one.
Steve - This statue is of Louisa Swain - the first woman in the world to cast a ballot under laws that gave women full equality with men in Laramie. In other words - the first woman who legally voted in the US.
Gary - I think most of these sculptures were installed in just the last decade, but just for you I'll try to throw in some of the ones that should have been here way back when! : )
Brenda, I don't think anything could have lasted from way back when -- except maybe some fossils at the geology museum.
