Ever wonder why some make it big while others never amount to much?  I think I have a clue to why and what drives people to the next level.  I define making it as one who is happy with where they are but also pushing for a better future.  So, if looking at business, family, marriage, or spiritual life, I think I have a few reasons why some make it an some do not.

1,  The power of You.  We all are made up of the same things, have the same amount of hours each day, have about the same struggles, habits, desires, yet some people have learned to get beyond limiting beliefs and really go for it.  There is power in you, and when you tap into that power, the future is much brighter.

2.  We become like those around us.  Ever notice the rich hang out with the rich?  How about the happy couples hanging out with happy couples.  Wonder why?  Like attracts like.  In order to attract that which we want to become I believe we have to fake it to make it, and exposed to "them" long enough we will start being natural at being like them, thus living happier lives.

3.  The grass seems greener on the othe side because who ever is on the other side is watering the grass while we stand around on our grass looking at the green grass on the other side.  I would say...Water the grass on the side ou are on.  Stop worrying about the other side.  Focus on what you have in your hand today and work on it.

4.  Most of us attempt a task kind of halfway.  I would say that in order to really achieve greatness we must be fully committed, fully engaged and fully devoted.  99% commitment is really no commitment at all

5. Passion breeds Passon.  Find something that you are passionate about and persue it with everything you have.  Put all of you into something you are passionate about and success will follow.

Go get it...it is waiting for you

Scott, great blog post!  I really enjoyed it, and it is a great article to share with others!  You can only effect the things you have control on, and in this market, you should want to have involvement in everything that will expand your business in any way, shape, or form!  Again, great post!

Great post, Scott!  I agree with you that to be successful you must hang out and socialize with successful people.  You will become the average of your sphere of influence.

That's why you don't see millioniares hanging out with crackheads! ;)

These are all great points, Scott. We should all be more aware of our thoughts and actions and what they bring into our lives.

I agree with everything you said. I need to find those RICH people to hang out with so it will rub off on me. I fertilized my grass to make it greener, and I shook the money tree. Nothing seems to happen? Do you think I am over watering? Just kidding. I am doing GREAT. I always make my own market. Never let anyone bring you down with them. Keep looking UP!

I love the water the grass on your side comment.  I have found that many times people trying to climb the ladder will slip down the ladder when they let go of the wrungs.  Sometimes it is best to hold on where you are on the ladder, I always say.
