Sometimes the littlest things can make someone happy. Take for example the other day. I had a paint order to fill at the local Lowe’s Home Improvement Center. As it turned out the base that was needed to mix my paint was not available in a 5-gallon bucket.
This was the case for 3 of the colors I needed. The gentleman mixing my paint said he could do it in 1-gallon cans and charge it at the 5-gallon price. This was fine for me but a lot of extra work for him. I needed a total of 25-gallons of custom paint and the only other person in the paint department was assisting other customers.
An hour passed and I was getting thirsty so I got a soda from their frig and proceeded to the checkout. Then it dawned on me that if I’m thirsty just standing around he might enjoy a drink too, so I grabbed another Pepsi. His reaction was priceless. He said in all his years working behind the counter, no one had ever bought him a soda before. He had a smile on his face for the remainder of the time he was mixing my paint. Sometimes the littlest things can make someone happy.

Have to admit, never gave it a thought either, but now will never grab a drink without thinking about your post. Thanks,
Sue, sometimes it is the smallest thing that can bring so much joy to others. But 25 gallons of paint? What the heck are you doing and .... why? LOL...
Do unto others, Sue. Good job. I bet he turned around and did something nice for someone else later...
