Colorado Realtors® understand that teachers are often spending hundreds of their own dollars on their students and classrooms every year. In fact, "elementary school teachers spend more ($539) than middle ($393) and high ($427) school teachers" (Scholastic News).
This is an average of $475 of their own money that teachers are spending - Every year!
So, in an effort to help Colorado teachers, the Colorado Association of Realtors® has set up a fund where teachers can qualify for up to $3,000 in FREE grant money that they can use to "purchase supplies, materials, equipment and other resources used to teach students in and out of the classroom."
Education is the core of our society and our culture. I am proud to be a part of Realtor® Association that understands this and is taking great strides to better our local communities.

In my experience teachers spend more than that, but I only know a few dozen so it might be a small sample. I know that my wife spends more than that, and so much of it is just little things that don't seem worth saving the receipts for. They work their butts off too!
This sounds like a great program, you should be proud!
