13 Comments on The largest Hand Painted Mural in the United States is right here in Oregon!
Excellent Todd, and thanks so much for sharing, this is the kind of stuff I love....
Todd ~ I had to adjust my eyes, I thought I was looking at a reflection in the water. That is a really cool hand painted building. Do you know when it was painted? Awesome shot!
A horse drawn hearse? Suddenly out-paced by cars?
There has always been an uneasy status element involved in funerals. It is easy to believe funeral directors might have been among the first to put cars into use.
Followed closely by wedding planners (though at the time period you mention only the very, very wealthy would have used one).
That is quite a large mural. Did you find out how long it took the painter to make?
It took about 2 years and it was done in 2008-2009. Sadly one of they people is longer with us and it has been dedicated to him.

That is a HUGE mural Todd! Thanks for the bit of Oregon history.
Awesome... You have to look for a moment to actually get that some of it is the mural and not the foliage in front. I have to stop by and see this next time I'm down your way. Fab photo!
Wow! That is so huge! I hope it retains its clarity over the future years. Thank you for sharing!
wow... what I wouldn't give to be able to paint like that!! It is beautiful! I'm not surprised it took so long to paint!!
That mural is extraordinary, Todd! Do you know the name of the artist?
Maria, I actually don't, but I will get it for you in the next couple weeks.

Hi Todd... what a wonderful mural. It makes the building blend in nicely with the surrounding nature!
Wow, that's a mural, there. I've been photoing/blogging murals around the Charleston area, but nothing that large. I imagine that took some funding to create. Murals do enhance the beauty of a city.
