The fastest way you can tell the health of an organization or a person is to observe their energy. We are all wired to pick up on energy and we can observe it on two levels:

1. Intensity (high and low) and 2. Direction (positive and negative).

Constantly throughout the day I do a personal self assessment of my energy on both levels: intensity and direction. As a manager I am also constantly feeling the vibe of "the room" and checking in with my fellow co-workers to make sure that the office has a healthy atmosphere. When the office is feeling off I do whatever I can to turn the feeling around. Often times that means taking the group to lunch or some other fun activity. I know that when people are happy and the energy is good then the success of the entire company will follow.

Last week I asked Will to shoot a video to "capture the energy of ActiveRain." It was a challenging request but I believe he did a great job as you can see in the video below.

What a fabulous video....love the driving in the rain, and as they say - who doesn't like puppies?  Thanks so much for showing us some insight into who you are, not just what you do.

Enjoyed the concept and video.  Light irradiates energy. This is true of homes and buildings. Your video shows this simple concept. Many home builders do not seem to grasp it when buildig houses.  I see often houses with dark rooms or family rooms trapped by lack of windows.  It is depressing!

Jon, you are the embodiment of Active Rain.  the energy there feels like you.  Not only was the video rocking, the editing, music and concept was super cool Seattle like.

Keep including that adorable puppy, your Chief Morale Officer.  The little guy would brighten any dog lover's day.

cool cool. it is quite important to keep the vibe going in a positive manner and then you don't have people wanting to look for a better place>>> cause they are already there.

Jon, enjoyed the video. For those who don't live here you gave them a great tour of down town Seattle.

I just wish we could actually travel that fast through the City.

Jon, great video. I've joined AR only a month ago and totally love it. Any chance I could get a job with AR? I would work day and night, that's how addicted I already am. Congratulations to the whole AR crew for doing an amazing job.

You are right it captures the intensity exactly. As a newbie that is just overwhelmed with content on AR the motions of the drive through San Francisco captures my thoughts of where do I go first , what do I do next, how do I do this etc etc. So thanks for making a film about me on AR
