Anecdote vs Antidote

I was once on a camping trip and one of the campers got bit by a poisons snake.

I started telling him a story about when I was 12 I was laughing so hard milk actually came out of my nose.

I guess if I had known the difference between an anecdote and an antidote he would still be alive today.
