Bill, I gues thee is a reason we start losing memory with age. But then, we lose short memory, long memory dies last...

Is this a ticker at the bottom counting the time on the  earth in milliseconds?

Maybe there's a reason? Losing our short term memories first we escape realty why'll we bask in better times.

Yes, the counter is counting my time on earth.

I'm still waiting for some one to understand yesterday's counter.
