I know Real Estate agents, for the most part, have a really bad rap.. some worse than attorneys! So if you're afraid to tell someone what you do, you are in the wrong business! Just because you're an agent doesn't mean this list of buyers/sellers will magically appear on your desk! You have to constantly work on your business and not just in your business (I'll save that topic for another blog..), and let the world know not only that you're a Real Estate agent, but you want their business!
Instead of living in fear under the shadow other agents leave, cast your own shadow! Meet people, do an outstanding job, change their mind about how they feel about agents, and do what you can to stand out from the crowd. Trust me, the referrals will start rolling in. When you come from contribution and put your client's needs before your own, you can't lose!
