I remember an old song by the Beach Boys that asked the question, "Wouldn't it be nice?"

I have a few of my own:

Wouldn't it be nice if my 12 year old son would always think his mom was cool? It was just about this age that his older brother stopped thinking so.

Wouldn't be nice if other agents and bankers returned phone calls in a timely manner?

Wouldn't it be nice if stores that advertise sales would have adequate inventory in stock?

Wouldn't it be nice if the assessors office would bring tax bills down as fast as the market value of houses has come down recently?

Wouldn't it be nice if chocolate was low calorie or better yet was a negative calorie food?

Wouldn't it be nice if politicians could set aside party politics and do what is best for the country (yeah, I watched Obama's speech tonight)?

Wouldn't it be nice teachers, firemen, police officers and people in the armed forces made as much money as pro athletes?

Wouldn't it be nice if everyone could just be nice?

Hi Billi... Writing to you from "Surf City U.S.A.", Huntington Beach, CA (just had to make a Beach Boys reference :-)  Great post.

Billi, it would be nice. Something that amazes me is the fact that our EMT's are volunteers. So the person that can save your life only gets their uniforms provided, but the person serving you a burger gets a wage.

Billie, this is a great list.  And yes it would be Very Nice.  Especially for the teachers and public service people making good money for what they do.  I would add, all the folks (like my son) that work with the troubled youth -- they really should be making a decent living.

Wouldn't it be nice if "Riding high in April, Shot down in May" was not the Real Estate Mantra of the past year!!!!!

Karen, Let's come up with a new song for 2011 and act like 2010 is just "Dust in the Wind".

Paula, join the crowd.

JM, I learned a long time ago to know the difference between want and need. And I do have everything I need at least.

It would be nice if everyone could be nice.  I like your list.  Maybe if we all practice being nice it might rub off on those around us.
