Don't Throw Away Those Crappy Photos....Yet!

Don't Throw Away Those Crappy Photos...Yet!  Take them on a Picnik!

I spend a lot of time online and I am not ashamed to admit that I am an internet Junkie!  Out of all the free, online photo editing sites I have found and experimented with, Picnik is my favorite.  You may have one that works well for you.  If you do not, I highly recommend that you visit www.picnik.com and try it out.  The free version is fabulous, but for $24.95 per year, you can upgrade and get even more.

So, why do I love Picnik?  For starters...I can be 25 years old again (if I wanted to be).  Wrinkle and Blemish removal, sunless tanning, eye brightener...I can even add highlights to my greying hair, balance out my sunburn in the summer or make my nose smaller.  While those toys are fun to play with...What I really love is the Auto-Fix...

I am not a professional photographer, and sometimes my photos just turn out really crappy.  One quick click on the Auto-Fix button and my photos are much better.

The photo above was taken from a moving car (Many of my photos are taken that way), and I didn't have the time to change settings, focus or worry about flash, etc.  So, I just uploaded the shot to the free version of Picnik, clicked on Auto-Fix and viola...It's actually a good photo.  Imagine taking fifty shots of a new listing and getting back to the office to find they are all too dark, too bright or just not any good.  You may not have to retake them if you are using a good editing program.  Just make sure they still look like the actual house.......

I L♥VE being able to FIX photos....I have 10+ year old software that came with my FIRST AGFA digital camera and I still use it to massage my photos - crop and correct....My trouble is getting it to load into subsequent versions of Windows!

I love Picnik!  Just to let you know Amy, my hair's not getting gray, I'm going blond (at least it looks that way from a distance)!

Wallace - I too LOVE being able to Fix Photos...Looks like you made yourself a little younger in your profile pic...I Like it!

Laura - I'm hoping that this summer, my hair will get a little natural highlighting and hide those grays...Ughhhhh!  Otherwise, I'm gonna have to do A LOT of editing...Or keep my distance :-)

Amy - I am a Picnik fan too! I created my blog header and wrote a tutorial on how to create your own. It is a fabulous tool and very inexpensive. Have you tried their slide shows? I use them all the time in my blog, and highly recommend them. You can insert up to 100 slides if you are a premium ($24.95 per year) subscriber.

Good Morning Dorie!  Picnik is lots of fun...I can spend hours "playing" if I am not careful!

Judy - I haven't tried the slideshows yet, but must get by there and check it out.  I did splurge and become the premium subscriber...  Thanks for the tip about the slideshows.  Have a great day :0)

Most are not lol

If you and Micheal are using it , I'll have to check it out.

Amy, I can't believe all we can do with Picnic. I don't know how I ever survived without it.  The only problem I've had is getting in there and losing track of time.  It's such fun!

Craig - Uncrappy is Good!

Lisa - The wrinkle remover is fabulous...The airbrush tool isn't too shabby either :0)

Don - Were you commenting from a traffic jam?   Sometimes, I get mad when the stop lights turn before I get my perfect photo...

Mom - Yes, I know what you mean.  It's easy to get lost in time on Picnik.

Amy, Love this post and use picnik for my staging pictures. Now I'm going to use it on my personal photos as this is amazing! This is great and who doesn't want to turn back the clock! Since hitting 40, I started aging in dog years!
