Yes Sue everyone wants to save money and energy costs are off the charts right now. I am dredding my plowing bill from all this snow removal, then the cost of fuel rising so quickly. The buyer today has to consider what their energy costs will be. Great advice.
More and more buyers are asking how much to heat the home. It is taking a toll on older homes which can be drafty and less efficient.
Very good to hear exactly this from people not working in the "energy efficiency" business like us. This is exactly what we try to tell our customers as well.
Could we quote your on our website? It is http://netzeroenergysolutions.net
Although it is a task initially, upgrading the heating and generally "greening" everything up seems to really make potential buyers happy. So bottom line: if you are planning to sell or just want to increase your home vlue, upgrading energy systems may be a great option.
Sue-sure makes sense, I know in Seattle we have utility companies offering rebates for windows, doors, insulation and heating equipment. Thanks for the post.
