I had my first coaching this morning and I'm excited.  My coach Robert Sloat had a great attitude and I think they matched up my personality with a coach that is going to bring out my full potential.  The session was only for 1/2 an hour but it's going to be once a week every week.  This first meeting we went over my professional and business assessment that I had completed and he had read it prior to today's session.

We started by getting to know one another.  We were able to relate to each other personally and professionally.  Then the interview started and he concentrated on my daily schedule.  He used my gross sales to figure out how efficiently I was using my 50 to 60 hour workweek.  I was really proud of the amount of hours I was putting into my business but my sales showed that I wasn't using this time efficiently.  I'm glad I took this as constructive criticism because I was a little offended.  As he explained what he meant I agreed with him and started to see my weaknesses.  Let's face it we all have them and many times don't want to hear about them but this is why I hired a coach.  Organization and prospecting are my two weaknesses.

Well in the 30 minutes we spent on the phone we were able to identify my weaknesses and put a plan together for next week.  He gave me a few ideas to think about in order for me to use my time effectively.  This first session felt like a tease because 30 minutes went by so fast and by the end of the session I was excited about my day and my future business.  Now I have to put together a plan that is going to allow me to prospect more and take action.

to be continued....

Mario, it's good to have someone objectively analyze our business practices.  There's always room for improvement.
