Many of the residents of Compton Village have told me that Living in Livonia has the feel of being in a small town even though there are 100,000 residents. The purpose of this web-blog is to give you a general ideal of what the area is like to visit or live in. In the first picture here you see the street sign where I took the picture for the sub which is about a half mile north of I96 expressway. The next picture is the welcome sign for the city of Livonia which you will see at multiple entrance points to the city. Compton Village is a neat and nicely structured subdivision. The home do vary from ranch, colonial and a few multi levels through out. As you can see by the first picture on this blog there are a lot of ranch style homes in the area. Most of the lot sizes are all about the same with most homes having a fenced in backyard. In the next few pictures I will try to show just a few of the local area attractions. In the first picture we have the LIVONIA CIVIC PUBLIC LIBRARY which is only a few minutes away from Compton Village sub. Next up is the LIVONIA MICHIGAN RECREATION CENTER which is probably about a 5 minute drive away. The Livonia Rec offers two swimming pools, rock climbing wall, exercise equipment, two basketball courts, sauna, hot tub, party rooms and much much more. The third picture is of the welcome sign to Rotary Park. ROTARY PARK is not a far drive from Compton Village and is loaded with great things to do for just about everyone. Rotary Park offers tennis courts, wooded walking trails, ball fields, play equipment and a party pavilion.
