During an average day spent focusing on the Asheville ECO Real Estate Market there is always time that needs to be allotted for education. with new technology coming out almost every day the Green and ECO Home is a constantly evolving entity. Earlier today I came across a new development in Solar Power that blew my mind and had my imagination going faster than you can say sun spots. The new technology is called Organic Solar Cells. Traditionally solar cells have been made using purified silicon. However scientists have been exploring the possibilities of a solar polymer, one that could be painted into laptops, cars, etc. They say this line of research could lead to Organic Solar Cells that you could print from your home computer in as little as five to ten years!!! Can you imagine?

I have heard ECO Realtors comment on solar power for green homes saying that because of the tremendous amount of energy that goes into making solar cells they have a hard time getting to the point where they are actually efficient in many regions, all things considered.  A breakthrough like Organic Solar would be such an exciting step into the future.
