In the summer of 2009, AARP Magazine named Tucson Arizona #1 in its top ten best place to live a simple life. Criteria such as low cost of living, geographic diversity, walk-ability, low crime, & outdoor accessibility all played a factor in the selection.
Personally, I think being surrounded by mountain vistas and gorgeous sunsets can't help but to convince any short term visitor into making arrangements for something more permanent! Add that to 300+ days of sunshine, golf courses everywhere, low-maintenance yard care, and friendly people -- and you've got a wonderful place to think about retiring to, having a vacation home, or just plain SWDesert relocation.
