11 Comments on I'm Thinking of Selling My Home - What Should I do to Get Ready?
Liz, a great list! I am always saying to my husband, don't put off fixing something in the house...when it is time to sale we will have less things to do. Suggested button hit for this post!
That's a good list to hand to all of your listing clients in preparation to go on the market. Hopefully they've given the home proper and regular maintenance thus making that list much shorter.
I'd choose you, too, Liz! Great list of planning to sell a home.
Hi Liz... these are ALL excellent tips! Giving clients this information is a great idea... hopefully they'll follow them.
There's more to putting your home one the market than just listing it. Some great tips here, Liz.
They're such common things to us - but for the average customer they're still sometimes news! :) Thanks for the comments :)
Rebecca thanks for the 'hit' :)
Victor wouldn't it help if we all kept up the maintenance on our homes? :)
Ahh Virginia how sweet! :-)
Steve - always good to have reminders :)
Jane - I'm not sure that every client thinks that - but yes!
Liz. This is a very impressive list. I love that you spell colour correctly.......I did not realize that Canada used the English version.
Liz--Lots of good tips for home sellers. Clean, declutter, repair the obvious, fresh coat of paint, however those paint cans look quite attractive.
PS I just noticed the spelling of colour/color. I looked at the paint cans first & assumed it was spelled correctly. But correct depends on the location of the author, right? LOL
Liz - informative and practical advice for sellers that all should heed when getting ready to sell. And your right, if you start preparing now it won't be so overwhelming when your reading to list. I really like your advise on hiring a realtor that you have confidence in and connect with. I loved my realtor and now stage some of her listings - it was a win-win for both of us!
Kristine - thats for the comments - yes! Win win is always best!
Mary - yes you're right - 'correct' like spelling - can be subjective :)
Ellie - are you English/Scottish?
