Two unexpected things happened to me today. 
1. I showed a house to a relative.
2. I got a call about finding someone I know an investment property.
Those 2 things alone do not make for extraordinary experiences in this business but for me they were.
First, I showed a house today to a relative and didn't even know it. It was my listing and I got a call from the sign. The lady told me her last name and I remarked I had family by the same last name, but dropped it and thought nothing of it. I met her today and showed her the listing. At the end of the walk-through I asked about her and come to find out, she's married to my cousin. Of course I hadn't seen her for years, but how odd is that?
Second, I just got off the phone with a guy I used to work with. When I started in this business I sent him my card, but never added him to my sphere, so he didn't get any further mailings from me. Even when I switched companies. Good thing my cell number is the same.
Wow. It's a small world and my sphere should be larger. Here are 2 people looking for real estate and they are people who are known to me, but did not make my old definition of "sphere." I wonder how many other people I know went out and bought real estate without me.
