The "Lookout"...

The "Lookout"...
Yesterday was a "Snow Day" here in the middle Tennessee area. Yes, the kids had another reprieve from the hallowed halls, many real estate offices were closed, and I worked from my home office. Sitting in the sun room, I was able to take advantage of the view of the feeders that were being ravenously attacked by all my feathered friends. Kinda neat to be able to mix business and pleasure. I wish I could do this every day...

Diane, thanks. I will be working on your project real soon...

Ginny, the contrast caught my eye too...

Kenneth, better you than me...

James, we have had more snow than we ever had. The DOT is running out of salt...

Craig, yes it is my friend. Nice to have a "no shave" day every now and then...

Cindy, like Micky D's - They're loving it...

Great shot, we know who is in charge lol

I have window feeds (3) and it's funny to see who claims which one for the day.

I also get sunflowers that take every year from the feeders

Great with my coffee, snow or not

Enjoy the day

Michael, how did you get the red bird to sit on top?  That is a picture of tranquility.  I think we'd all get a little tired of that every day but occasionally we all need to take a day to veg.  I hope you enjoyed it as much as it looks like you did.

Michael: That is simply a beautiful, gorgeous picture! Your last sentence - wish you could do this everyday: if you did I think it would be very good for your spirit; you obviously enjoy this very much. Have a great day.

We just got pummeled with snow last night and I have not seen or heard any birds this morning.  I guess they all slept in late!

I'm ready for one of those home office workday schedule. One day of snow would be nice.

Nice photo.

Snow day here as well. It’s getting harder to keep out feathered friends fed. Seems like all my neighbors stopped feeding them for the winter, so they’re all over at our place. We now buy bird feed the same way we buy our house feed … 50lb. bags.

Beautiful picture!

Cardinals and bluejays are two of my favorites, and they really stand out against the snow. Not too many colorful birds here in the desert, and no snow either.

I have the exact same feeder and of course, the same species of birds. My cats go crazy watching the little feathered critters all day!

Michael, We are having the opposite here in northern California.  We were in Truckee (by South Lake Tahoe) last weekend and many of the ski lifts were closed at one of the ski resorts because they were solid ice.  They have a good snow pack but no new powder because it hasn't snowed in days!!! Your pictures are beautiful!

Michael, what a great view.  How do you keep the squirrels out of your feeders?  The squirrels come in droves to our bird food.  We've been bombarded with snow too, the kids have only been to school one day this week.
