White on white, snow on snow, we're running out of places to put this stuff. Today January 27, 2011 we just got another fifteen inches of snow. I'm not sure where I'm going to put it. Even though I like the snow, I must admit I'm getting tired of removing it from my driveway and sidewalk. Backyard is OK, makes for pretty photos. What do you think?
Hi-fellow NYer here in Phoenix, AZ. I grew up in Buffalo as a chile. I know snow. Now, I know sunshine. Please enjoy your day today.
Wow, beautiful pictures though. We are way down so far this year with the snow fall, maybe it will creep up on us but really not much to speak of here in Michigan so far.
I can understand your frustration, however, remember that you will most likely be inside today. Make the most of it by getting more done.
Also, take some time and watch the kids playing with it outside, remember how much fun it was?
Maybe, take a little time and go outside and have a snowball fight with some of the kids in the area and then go inside, warm up and have a big mug of hot chocolate with marshmallows!
Great pictures! I lived in Long Island as a kid and remember snow drifts taller than me. Loved it as a kid, but as an adult I probably would hate it - except for the picture taking opportunities.
It does look pretty but it is messy! I am not going to give a weather report today but Kenneth, if you were here you could wear short sleeves on the golf course this afternoon!
Good Morning Kenneth ~ My sister lives on Staten Island and keeps me updated with the weather conditions but I love your pictures!
Ken, there's snow, and then there's snow and boy have we ever got snow. It's ridiculous and we aren't even out of January yet. There's no worry about the groundhog next month, he won't see his shadow if he can't even get out of the hole.
Frank & Karen; Thanks for the nice comments, now you can tell your sister that if she wants to join you in Nc. you know a great Realtor who can help her sell her home in Staten Island.
Good morning Ed; What can I say? Amen.
Michael; but Nashville has great country music.
Gary; Don't make me come down there!
Dan; enjoy the sunshine, and my snow pictures
Dave; Long Island is beautiful, why did you ever leave?
Jeffrey; That's what I did when my children were young, now I watch the grandchildren.
Bob; thanks for stopping by, I served in the Navy with a man from Sheboygan.
Harry; thanks for stopping by, you are a long way from home, big difference in temps ah?
yay the plow just came through - guess I better go shovel again - maybe park later too (hopefully)
Elizabeth; Its still January, we have 60 more day of winter to enjoy. Or look at it this way. Come spring, many more houses will be on the market, making for us a busy spring.
Thanks for stopping by.
Oh My Gosh, Oh My Gosh, Oh My Gosh! We guys have been hammered is saying it mildly!! That was a cute picture with the little birds trying to hop on top of it all! We must say you do an excellent clean up Ken, right down to the pavement!
Ken, you need a bigger shovel, a snowblower or a couple neighborhood kids who will work cheap. Best of luck to you with that light dusting.
All best,
Jason Frey
HI KENNETH! Oh boy. Please don't read my post for today. I must admit - the pictures look pretty but I can't picture myself shoveling it all away - brrrr! -G
Kenneth... I'm not sure if you are going to like my comment on your recent blog about the next 5 days (forecast). I mentioned I would rather have snow than freezing rain and ice.
You did a GREAT job of shoveling your driveway. May I make a suggestion for next year... how about getting a snow blower.
Valerie; I have a snow blower and used 2 gallons of gas already. Snow is better then sleet and rain, you are right.
Ken, You all got a bit more than us down here in Philly, but I'm with you: if it would just snow in the backyard at this point it would be okay by me. Hope you are not aching too much after all that shoveling. Great photos!
Gloria
