Cara, very true. And thanks.
Susan, we do accept newcomers. You must have a wicked sense of humour, very frank without being b*tchy, and be willing to drive down the 401/20 every couple of months. You in? :) If not, yes, you MUST get you some Ya-Yas. Every girl needs her Ya-Yas.
January does nothing for me escept get me that much closer to March 21st. That's when I'm renewed. I do enjoy the longer and longer days.
Glad you are fefueled and ready to go. Good luck to you in 2011!
Tanya, a close knit group like this is a TERRIFIC support system for you. Hang on to them!!
darn it, i wouldn't even qualify for your ya-yas, and not just cause i'm in Florida.:-( Glad for you and the affections and love you share with these ladies, who must be remarkable if only because they make you whole:-) xoxo
Virginia, "a little girlfriend" works wonders :)
Lenn, I've noticed the days getting longer too. Crazy that we can actually be excited about it not getting dark until 5:15 pm!
Thanks Joan.
I plan to, Gary. Thanks for stopping by.
Tanya, so glad you make time for you and the ya-yas! I like to plan a lunch every year on Valentines day with all my ya-yas, a great way to show how we truly love each other!
Not true about your not qualifying, Inna! But thanks for the rest :) xoxo
What a great tradition, Ellen. That one deserves to be copied!
Here's what it means for me.
The trap range opens at 3:00 p.m. during winter weekdays. I'm there at 3:00 p.m. ready to shoot. I shoot for an hour, that's 4 rounds. Then I head west and home which is an hour drive.
So, the later it gets dark, the longer I can shoot and still get home before dark.
Hate to drive in the dark.
That's me, that's me!! Via Rail, here I come :0) They do still have a bar car don't they?
Oh Lenn, you kill me. That is to say, I know you could kill me, but you make me laugh too. I am not happy for the extra shooting range time, but rather for the extra time in the day to walk my dog before dark. Whatever floats your boat, right?
Susan, yeah baby :)
Tanya- Votre "ya-yas" me semblent tellement chouette! (I imagine you are bilingue, non? ;)) This is such a wonderful testament to the power of close ties. If you haven't sent this to them, you should!
I have a great group of girlfriends as well and we always laugh and re energize ourselves when we get together! I'm so happy you have them!
Lenn your a riot.
Sounds like an upcoming Bravo reality show. Nothing beats good company and conversation. and a MaiTai!
Mais oui, Jennifer! Elles sont tellement fortes aussi :0) Et oui, je l'ai déjà envoyé à mes amis...
I knew you did, Susan. And I'm glad you have them. xo
Well, maybe a nice glass of a hearty red wine, Ross?
Ross said it best! I'm torn between the MaiTai and the big red, though.
I didn't read the book, but I did see the film. And I have the album. The music in that is amazing. One of my all time favorite songs is "The Dawning of the Day".
Susan, how about one followed by the other?
Jane, I will have to see if I can find that song on YouTube.
Tanya,
I admire your 6-week get-together with your girlfriends. It's liberating to share life and also it's great to watch how life gets bred among our closest friends. Ya-Ya to you... g
