I just read a blog post from an inspector who was outraged because the county had done an inspection instead of him and had declared a home more or less perfect while he knew it was not.
While that is certainly outragous, what make this actually really abd is that the county in in business at all!
Government in any form, city, county, state, fed.... has it's reasons for existence. None of those reasons is being in business and performing tasks that an entrepreneur can do and by performing these tasks by actually competing with free business who pays the very taxes the government employees are being paid with. And because they are being paid with taxes and do not run any risks they can perform the task cheaper, making competing for free enterprise next to impossible!
THAT is outragous and THAT should be talked about, cried out about.....
