Two Heads Are Better Than One!!

Guys have a bad rap......You know, the one that the ladies say that guys NEVER ask for help or directions to the restaurant,etc..  Well I am guilty just ask my wife.  I can read directions and I can put ‘A' into ‘B' or I can insert theTwo Heads Are Better Than One ‘cd' into the computer and then click ‘next'.  I just have one problem.  When I am through clicking the ‘next' button and click the ‘finish' button I expect what I am installing to work like the box says it will.  You know, like when you put an address into your GPS.  You expect to get to where you want to go, right.

Well, my wife bought me a nice 5 function piece of technology; you know the kind that will print, copy, fax, scan, and email.  It really is nice and it does a really good job of printing and the occasional copy job that I ask it to do.

But then there are the other three jobs that it is supposed to do.  Why don't the fax, scan and email work?  Well the fax question is easy, I do not have a land line and the Magic Jack will not work for the fax.  That leaves the other two functions and I gave up on them until last night.

Last night I had someone come over, that's right I asked for help.  Does that mean that I will lose my Man Card because I ask for help?  Oh Well!!  This friend worked and worked, he uninstalled the printer and re-installed it twice and couldn't find the problem.

All is not lost though, two heads are better than one any day of the week.  Even if one of those heads isn't quite sure what it is doing.  After two hours of endless checking and rechecking we found the problem.  It was the USB cable, it wasn't supposed to be connected if I was going to use the WiFi function.  Once it was disconnected it all worked, Oh Happy Day.

If you are one of those people that can't or will not ask for help when you need it you may want to try it.  Remember two heads are better than one.

Even with our GPS, on the way home from O'Fallon a few weeks ago, my hubby took a wrong turn and would not ask for help.......the GPS finally rerouted him.   What did we do before they invented these great devises.

Don...

Sometime the solutions to our problems are so simple that they are often overlooked. I'm glad that you got it working ... finally!

Don, I'm confused already. Wouldn't think it would do any of those functions if it was wireless and you had the USB connected when it shouldn't have been.

Don, I feel your pain.  I wrote about owning a smart phone and being a dumb owner.  You do not lose your Man Card:)
