Friday's Fotos...

While most of the eastern seaboard got hammered by yet another ton of snow, middle Tennesseans were given a treat - not given the treatment. Yes, mild temps for a change and SUN!!! Almost made me want to pull my shirt off and cop a few rays!!! Today's forecast calls for more of the same.

The dusting we got is now a mere memory; however, there are some scenes that will be forever preserved in digital format. These purple finches were awaiting their turn at the feeder...

Lucky for you that the snow missed you...we got 16 inches on top of what we already had!

Anyway, your photo is a gem!

Hi Michael - I had a purple finch at my feeder a few days ago, but I could not get a shot like this!  Fantastic photography!

Good morning reminds me that everyone is sometime or another awaiting their turn at the feeder be it at home or the restaurant...

Michael, We get those same finches on our feeders!  We got another 1 or 2 of the white stuff last night, hopefully done for a bit.  Roads are clear and it's the wet sticky kind this time.  Very pretty.

I have SO enjoyed my digital vacation to your neck of the woods this week.  Really enjoy the new HDR style camera images you shared as well - fantastic quality.

As always, your photos are nothing short of spectacular. So glad we're enjoying some milder weather and not having to endure what those in the Northeast have this winter.

Michael, of course I love the photo!  We got about 4 inches here yesterday and more on the way....our snowblower broke so it was all done by hand and is getting old!

The finches look so patient and respectful, waiting their turn politely. Wish I could say the same about a couple of driver's on the road yesterday!

Great colors on the birds...  Most birds out my way are hawks, vultures, crows, woodpeckers, owls, mockingbirds, sparrows and such...  Mostly brown, black and grey/white.  So seeing other colors is pretty cool!

Hi Michael, Great picture! Once in a while we'll get a group of wild parrots at our feeder. The whiteness of the snow makes a wonderful background for the finches. jay
