Winter is almost over, spring is coming and with vacations, sporting events for the kids, time to donate sometimes just isn't found. But that doesn't mean the demand for blood donations is going down the fact is it is actually going up. So, before spring does arrive and you think "Oh, I'll donate blood next week" and then next week never comes. Donate today while you have time and are thinking about it.

Donate to the Red Cross

Donating blood is quick, easy and like I said only takes a couple hours. Then the rest of the day or evening you can be the hero you are and where the sticker that tells the world that you are a hero, the one that says "I DONATED BLOOD TODAY!"

Todd, you know what I like about this?  I give as much as I can.  Here's the deal.  It saves lives.  It doesn't cost anything, but you're making a difference that truly does save lives.  This is not cliche, it's true.  People forget that.  And it's replenshes itself.  This is one thing that every American who can give, should give.  Just my .02 cents!

This is great reminder of how much an hour of your time can help save lives. I tried to donate on Monday, but the mobile donation center was not working properly...I rescheduled for next month. I try to always have a future appointment on the books, that way I never make the decisions, just show up and donate!

You too can be a hero! Everyone can save a life!

Not to mention you get a free glass of Orange juice and a cookie. 8>)

In about the same time it takes to eat inside at McDonald's.

Good point Todd, I can't donate because of the medications I take, but my wife donates regularly, in fact we got a call from the red cross the other night, apparently with bad weather we have been having fewer people are getting in to donate blood and they are short.

Great post, a good reminder

I could say I see 11 comments, but what I actually see is the potential for 11 lives being saved by your donations. (THANK YOU!)

Todd,

Your post has reminded me that I need to get in to donate. It has been a very long time. Really liked Bill A's comment about a meal at McDonald's and the amount of time it takes to donate.
