My first sick day in years

Well, it finally happened: I seem to have come down with the flu. So this morning I have been popping ibuprofen and swilling tea, and sitting in the sunroom with my two cats. Miles doesn't seem too concerned about me, but Kitty is very sympathetic. At least it's a beautiful day in Cibolo. I soaked up some Vitamin D, with Kitty sitting in my lap. My fingers have been liberally anointed with cat spit; I hope it has antiviral properties.

My question is why, if I have a fever of 100, do I feel so frickin' cold?

Oh, well. I had to do a little work today (actually a lot, but I'm moving and thinking at a snail's pace), and now I'm going back to doze some more with the cats.

Robin - I do hope you are feeling better.  Sometimes the body has to take drastic measures to make us take some time off, something we do not do for ourselves.  Real estate is a 24/7 job however in order for us to function we need to do a better job of taking care of ourselves.  I should listen to my own advice.  Take care.

Oh no! Not the flu. Get off the computer right this minute and go lie down. We need you well Robin.

Robin: Sure hope you get to feeling better. Hot tea, and chicken soup and lots of rest is just what the doctor will order. It will run it course but be sure to keep the fever down. Maybe call the doc to make sure it doesn't go into pneumonia like it did me last year.

Thank you, my friends! I am back in the saddle today, finally feeling much better.

How ironic that I should be under the weather when it's 80 degrees and sunny, and then healthy again when it's 22 degrees and gloomy outside! At least I'll be able to go outside and build a microscopic snowman if it snows tomorrow!

I’ve been fortunate that it’s been several years since I’ve been sick. Now watch me come down with a cold tomorrow…. J♪♫♫♪
