~ Yikes, I've Been Tagged! ~
Well, I thought I was safe. I was quietly commenting and writing my blog everyday, but John McCarthy tagged me.
Here are the MeMe Rules (please paste the following paragraph into your post if you are tagged):
"I'd like to know what YOUR Big Hairy Audacious Goal (BHAG) is for 2011. I'd also like to know more about you, and your background, what is it about you that makes this BHAG so important? What experiences are you bringing with you into 2011 that will make this BHAG work? So I'm asking you to please share 5 or 6 things about yourself, and then tag 5 or 6 more people so we can learn about them too!"
So, here goes......My BHAG for 2011 is simple. I believe I have mentioned this before in another post or two. I want to be more successful at blogging. I have started taking some of the webinars that ActiveRain offers us in an attempt to improve my blogging. I want to consistently post 1-2 Localism posts every week for my area. I am challenging myself to start this by mid February of this year. I have also joined several other bloggers in my area to get together once a month to learn more about AR and how to successfully blog. Ruth Vogt of WR Starkey is heading this up and I am very excited about it. I am also trying to maintain a better balance in my life between working and personal time.
A little bit about me....
* I was born in a suburb of Chicago and moved to the Denver area with a job transfer back in the summer of 1991. That was a little scary leaving my family behind. But it helps me understand what many of my clients feel when they relocate to the Denver area.
* I saved the lives of 2 kids during my stint as a life guard and swim instructor. I loved that job. It taught me accountability and responsibility which I have used every day of my adult life.
* I put myself through college and I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from Illinois State University in both French and Spanish. This has made me appreciate the value of a dollar. I know how to make my goals a reality.
* I am an avid bowler. I was on the Illinois State University Bowling Team while in college. Now, I travel occasionally for tournaments. My high game is 289 and my high series is 715.
* I started reading when I was 3.5 years old and still enjoy reading. In elementary school, I read more books in our library than any other student. I continue to try to learn something new everyday. By expanding our knowledge we continue to grow.
* Since the time I was about 10 years old, I knew I was eventually going to sell real estate. When my job in Denver wanted to transfer me to Houston, I decided it was time to get my real estate license. So I received my real estate sales license in 1993 and my Brokers license in 1994. And have been successfully selling homes in the Aurora area since. Real Estate was my passion when I was only 10 and it is still my passion now, in 2011. I love to feel the happiness that buyers feel when they purchase their first home.
I am Tagging Carla Muss-Jacobs, Chris Alston, Ruth vogt, James Dray, Jeffrey DiMuria and Vickie Slade.
