Township Holds Tax Appeal Seminar on February 8th, 2011

A tax appeal seminar for Schaumburg Township homeowners on how to appeal their new assessments will be held at 7pm on February 8th at Schaumburg High School.  Staff from the Cook County Assessor's Office will be there to file appeals. Residents need to bring the reassessment notice they received in the mail or their property tax bills. Be sure to bring your PIN number or Permanent Index Number for the Assessor!

Again, the deadline to appeal your taxes for Schaumburg Township is February 22nd, 2010

If you feel that you are being taxed too high, please go to the seminar and fight your tax assessment.  Recently on some of my clients we have seen increases as high as $1800 on a Weathersfield ranch of 1600 square feet.  This increase is outrageous because it also has a senior exemption offering additional savings to the homeowner!  What would it be like without the exemptions?
