The Door is Open to Mexico -- Question: What is the Climate Like in Mexico
You want to move to Mexico, but you haven't decided where you want to be and are curious about the climate.
Mexico has almost any type of climate that you might want.
North of Mexico City most of the country is temperate with cooler temperatures in the winter. South of Mexico City the temperatures are higher year round and can even be quite hot.
Altitude is important with some mountain areas and highlands that even receive quite a bit of snow.
There are significant areas including the Baja and Sonora that are semi-arid desert while areas along the Gulf of Mexico include tropical rain forests.
Areas in the central highlands have very little change in temperature throughout the year and have been described as having permanent springtime weather.
Most of the country has a wet season from June to October. And the coastal areas are subject to hurricanes from June through November.
If you have a specific area of interst or a specific climate let me know and I will provide more information.
I also strongly recommend renting for at least six months in any community before you buy so that you have an opportunity to see if it has a climate that appeals to you.
