Kodak Video Challenge...John McCarthy Your Seacoast NH REALTOR Highlights The Chase Home for Children in Portsmouth, NH
Originally founded in 1877, The Chase Home for Children, now located at 698 Middle Road in Portsmouth, NH, cared for children of widowed Seacoast NH sea captains who may have spent as long as two years at sea. Today, The Chase Home for Children is an adolescent residential program for children ages 12 to 19, providing services and support for kids. Children at The Chase Home attend public schools, enroll in driver training, and take part in the Outward Program, a special program that improves self confidence, self image and self reliance.
The below video interview with Katy McDermott, Executive Director for The Chase Home for Children, is a highlight in my recent series of hyper-local posts that focus on organizations helping children and families in Seacoast, NH. I hope you take a few minutes to familiarize yourselves with the incredible work these folks do, and I'm sure you will appreciate why I support their goals.
The Chase Home for Children relies on grants, donations and fundraising to continue its work in the Seacoast NH community.
