FOX news fired Krista Fogelsong

I can't believe that channel 4 here in southwest Florida fired Krsita Fogelsong. She was very active in community events and was very active with different charities in around Southwest Florida. I can't believe the TV stations down she is the second good reporter to get axed this year early NBC channel 2 got rid of Jim Syoen who was a good weatherman and was also involved with many charities and community events. I guess if you just do the news and nothing else then they will keep you. Like Krista said in the newspaper you have to do whats best for you.

I am completely devastated. I really like Krista. She was the only good thing about Fox4. After watching her every weeknight for the past four years and now she's gone so suddenly - it's like losing a friend. And they didn't even let her say goodbye to the viewers. I don't know what is wrong with the local stations around here. They are too cheap to pay for good talent. They don't deserve Krista. And to treat her the way they did - nobody deserves that. I hope she knows she's got viewers that support her and are on her side. I'll really miss her. I wish she would stay local - go to nbc or abc and increase their ratings.

I worked with Krista in a Station in South Dakota years ago. They just lost a gem. I'm sure Denver or Minneapolis will scoop her up in a second.

I loved watching Krista...by far the best reporter on TV in SWFL. Fox got is sooooo wrong. They just lost me as a viewer.

I was born and raised in Lee County and Krista Fogelsong was the best anchor they have ever had. Because of Krista we watched Fox 4 news faithfully. None of your other reporters touches her talent.

Fox what were you thinking? Definately a bad business decision. Get rid of the weather calendar girl instead shes a joke.

We have tolerated the past month of replacement players, but we miss Krista. Fox, you might want to consider the folks who watch your program and how they feel about the news hosts, who are also active in the community, before you toss them to the street. Krista has class, Fox does not!

For all of you wondering about Krista, she indeed did come back to South Dakota. She works for the NBC affiliate KNBN in Rapid City. She was here 10 years ago working at the FOX affiliate and I think she's happy to be back in SD. I know we are happy to see her again!! She is a class act!

Glad to hear she's being appreciated. We always looked forward to Krista when we returned to SW Florida. She's s positive to any community. We'll miss her! Patrick...get a new barber.

The problem evidently was... that Krista was getting to much of Nolan's thunder! He is a joke along with the rest of them now!

Wow, Fox 4 has really deteriorated since Krista left. The turnover is appalling for a network news provider. I was mostly irritated that they didn't even announce her departure nor even acknowledged it. I think that we as viewers deserve more than that. You trust your news source to be fair and balanced; but canning Krista without so much as a goodbye montage was far from fair and their anchor desk has yet to be balanced.

I had moved to ft myers 2 yrs before she got axed, so I dont know what you all are smoking but she sucked! Dont know her background dont care. She was fake as the day is long, and annoying as hell to watch. I stopped watching fox news because of her. Don't get me wrong im not crazy about Patrick Nolan he is kind of a scab but id rather watch him than her. As far as that charity stuff your all talking about, i ounce seen her complaining because she couldn't get 1000 dollars for a pair of pump high heals at some auction fundraiser. 1000 dollars, are u f@#$%^& kidding me. Just another reason all these anchors should be heard ed together and drowned. They all think they are A list actors or something and expect the royal treatment with every thing they do. BS!!!!! I say. She was fake, her hair was fake, her personality, and so on. I actually like the new brunette girl better. Sorry just my opinion.

Personally, while I am sorry she got fired, I'm not sorry she is gone. Her verbalization was horrendous. She spoke way too fast and mumbled many of her words.

Amy Wegman is so much better. Her speech is clearer and easily understood. She is much better than Krista could ever hope to be.

I personally can't stand watching Amy. She has added too much corn to the news. I am too annoyed to watch fox any longer so I have been watching the NBC station. I was wondering where Krista ended up. A friend said that she saw Krista in Naples a couple of months ago.

I heard that Krista does come back every once in while to visit friends. People have said that they have seen her at restaurants in the area. I'm hoping she does try to comeback to do the news.

Here's my humble opinion: Krista was a beautiful person, and even more beautiful in person than on tv. I am retired from 30+ years in the music "industry," and she was fabulous singing backup vocals with Eddie Money - looked hot, sounded good - live onstage at the charity concert with Zander, Farner, and the other acts. Fox 4 blew it bigtime and I haven't watched them since Krista left....bastards.....
