Helpful, How far do you go?

Helpful, How far do you go?  You may have figured it out by now, but for those that have not I will spell it out.  I am taking the 12 points of "The Scout Law" and showing how it can be applied to real life and Real Estate in general.

I have been blessed over the years to work with people that have been great mentors to me.  What did they expect in return for their being helpful?  Absolutely nothing other than me applying what they were teaching.

There is certainly a place for structured instruction...for fee.  I have also spent my money to be taught by professionals.  There is a place for both!

Helpful, How far do you go?  The focus here is that We have all had people help us without expecting any payment for that help.  Do we give back?

I am very happy to give back within my profession, church, and community.  I have learned that I gain much more than it has ever cost me.

Helpful, How far do you go?  Here in the Mountain Home, Arkansas area there are ample opportunities to help within the community and church.  I am sure that there are in your home town as well.  Find a colleague that can use a helping hand in their business and offer a bit of time.  If You are the recipient of that helping hand...Apply that help, and a heartfelt thank you will go a long way!

I don't we can ever go far enough to help our community. There are many in need and we have been very blessed. I think, to much that has been given, much is expected. Jesus told us that. We should do it out of blessing and not for attention or more blessing. It is more blessed to give than to receive.

John - I sometimes think I go too far.  Maybe it's time for a little balance in the direction of taking care of myself, but can't do that just yet.  Too many commitments.

John ~ helping others is such a positive experience.  Both sides can learn a great deal; the teacher and the student.
