It's January 29th not December 29th... How come your Christmas Decorations are still up?

Door knocking is part of my Business Plan this year. This week while doing some door knocking,I can't say where. Anywhere many of the houses that I am doing door knocking at,I keep seeing a lot of Christmas Decorations... Is it me or Christmas was over a month ago?House with Christmas Decorations

It is January 29th not December 29th... How come your Christmas Decorations are still up? Trust me I know that people don't take their Christmas decorations off the day after Christmas. Heck some people will even wait a week or even 12 days....I can understand that. But a month.. Come on you can't be serious.

Are you planning eleven months ahead of time for next Christmas? I don't think so. Besides its too early. Waaay tooo early. Heck Spring is not even here yet-I can't wait either. I am anticipating a great Spring Selling Season and Summer Selling Season in Real Estate this year. Leaving your Christmas Decorations up over a month after Christmas to me is not good. What are you telling potential home buyers who want to buy a house in your neighborhood when see that you still haven't taken down your Christmas Decorations? What do you think your neighbors think about you? You never know what your neighbors and future neighbors are thinking. Got to think about that.

Please don't be mad at me... I am not attacking anyone. Sometimes things happen-Trust me I understand. Maybe you have a hectic work schedule or life, you are pregnant or you recently just gave birth to a new child etc. But if you don't have time to take down your Christmas Decorations, ask somebody-Who knows. So if you haven't taken down your Christmas Decorations, please do so. Besides Spring is approaching soon. I can't wait either:-)

I have seen several homes that still have yard Christmas stuff.. it begins to look so out-dated on the day after Christmas.

Where I live decorations were supposed to be down by January 15th.  Now notices are going out from the HOA to take them down or face a fine.

Lanre, We have neighbors who leave theirs up year 'round and they just had them all lit up last night as I came home. They are pretty to look at!

That's a pet peeve of mine too - I cut people some slack in January, but when you see those lights up and it's April, THAT's really bad!

Lanre, I love Christmas!  If I didn't look like trailer trash I'd leave mine up all year too, lol.  My neighbors would FLIP, so we take them down outside right after Christmas.

I just want you to know, that every day is Christmas to me with you as a friend.  You are one special guy.  I hope you enjoyed your BIRTHDAY today my friend!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LANRE :)

Some people in our market leave up lights all year round, typically small white lights.

Lanre: I happen to love Christmas lights and the way they look in the snow. Many still have them up here. Hope you had a great birthday! Best,

I saw a house in DC with them still up tonight too.  Even if you still have them up - at least don't turn them on.

Putting them up in October is also a pet peeve. As for removal, January 5th is the threshold or it's unlucky.

I drive by a house each day that still has their MANY icicle lights up.  Oh well, at least they don't turn them on.....I'm watching to see when and if they ever come down.

Hope your birthday was special and somebody spoiled you!

Too funny!  Are they planning 11 months ahead?  HA HA HA  They obviously don't live in an HOA.
