Speechless Sunday-Angel's Landing in Zion National Park

By

My family hiked up to Angel's Landing in Zion National Park in the fall of 2009.  The last leg of the hike is to climb along the mountainside holding onto nothing but a chain railing. The elevation at the top is 5700 ft.   I'm not that brave, so my 10 year old and I stayed on safe ground while the rest of my family climbed to the top. You can see there's only room for one way traffic, so occassionally someone has to let go so that the other side can pass.  Too scary for me!

Love it!  Not just saying it!  I love it!  I love the climb.  I love the extreme climb!  I lvoe climbing and kickin it even if the elevation is high (your's does not appear to be such) and the steepness is great (your's is) and the exposure is frenetic (nope, but very open).  I love this photo!

That looks like fun, especially if you are part Mountain Goat!

P.S. Utah is my favorite state (after Colorado).  I hop in the car and go there every chance I get.  Love that Moab!

I am always amazed when I see pictures that have been taken at that place!  I'm not very sure footed, so I am frightened just looking at that climb.

Larry-I love your enthusiasm! It is a great hike and the view is just spectacular. Thanks for commenting..

Kristal-I'm no mountain goat, but I still enjoy it!  Moab is great too, thanks for stopping by.

Pat-You've got to do it sometime, you won't be sorry.

Ginny-Maybe climbing a little this year should be on you BHAG list to do! Thanks for stopping

Carol-It is a fabulous trail and a fabulous park!  Love it..

Myrl-I'm not sure footed either and it scares me going up any higher than I was.

Erika - now THAT looks like a VERY German thing to be doing! That photo could be almost anywhere in Germany with all those people out hiking up that trail!
