parkPlano residents woke up to a day that was picture perfect to spend in the park. It was one of those days that makes the heart long even more for Spring with sunshine and 70 degrees. It was obvious that Texans were ready to be outdoors once more as the park was full of people of all ages. I couldn’t tell who was having more fun, the people or the wildlife that was being fed by the people.

parkThe park pictured is Bob Woodruff Park in Plano located at 2601 San Gabriel. It is a community park with two pavilions, playgrounds, restrooms, fishing pier, sand volleyball and hard surface trails.

I like so many others took the liberty to walk around the trail that circles the pond. If one was to walk the entire trail that makes up the Bob Woodruff Santa Fe Trail it would be 4.4 miles. See the map for a layout of the trail.

Only people in Texas would call that a pond. Out here it would definitely be a lake.

LOL! it does fit the definiton of a community fishing lake but when I can see all the shore line I think "pond".
