I couldn't sleep this morning and just finished watching a 30 minute infomercial for John Beck's Real and Clear Real Estate System. I watched because our clients always ask us about these "incredible deals" and I was hopeful that it would put me back to sleep. Instead, I woke up completely and so should other people.
For just $39.95, Mr. Beck insists, you can learn how to buy as many of the 1.8 million properties currently available for just pennies on the dollar. Really? Not!
Instead, it looks like people are spending thousands and getting pennies. Be careful out there and advise your clients to do their research. Remember, if it were easy, the gurus would be doing it ... not selling CDs, websites and directories about it! Before you call that 800 number, do some research. Here's what the top of my Google search produced: (And there's much, much more)

Help! I have ordered the John Beck system in July and realized that it is all scam. They keep giving me websites that I can't get information from. I have researched the sites till I can't stay awake anymore. So when I talk to a coach he says he can only provide websites the rest was up to me. this was not what a signed up for. They lied and said they would give me all this support but there is NONE! Does anyone know how to prove fraud on them to get our money back. If so please email me at []. Sorry to all of you who were scammed by these criminal. Hopefully they will pay.

I ordered the product and got it and it was about as useful as the mud on my shoes. I tried to cancel but the many 818 or 888 numbers say, the office is closed. I have been ripped off for 39.95 again this month. Been trying to cancel for 2 months. I guess I'm going to close my account and start again. What a scam artist.

I have had many of the same experiences listed by others at this time with John Beck and The Tax Club. I am currently gathering information and developing a class action lawsuit against these organizations. Please contact me if you are interested in being part of the suit: [] (primary) [] (secondary) Thank you

I purchased the Cd's over the TV, then I got the sales call. I purchased the $4000 , and it's been a night mare since!! The hot line has no body that has actually done the program. So in all reality how can they teach me. The last one I spoke to actually sent me to a web site that sells another program similar to their's. This roller coaster ride has been going on since Jan. They con you into believing if you get 3 properties and sell them , you get your $$ back. However , it's like looking for a needle in a hay stack!! When I was on the sales call, they made it look like they were interviewing me out of 5 people from my area. I was totally upfront and told them I wanted property within 2 hrs from where I lived. What a joke. There are none. Maybe in Kansas, or Michigan, very depressed areas do to plants shutting down. I am not giving up, so I will let you know if I ever get my $$ back or get the 3 purchased and sold. If I were you or had it over to do, I would go to http://www.rogueinvestor.com/, where one of there hot line people sent me to get a course and support for 1 yr. only $300. I am really sorry I got into this. It has taken up a lot of my time and energy!! Let alone my $$$$ I even cried to these people that this was my inheritance $ and I am 60 yrs old, how could they do this to a senior citizen. I consider myself relatively intelligent, and somewhat good on the computer, and this has been truly a nightmare.
Nancy, when I was less experienced, I fell for some scams, too. If an investor wants the best deals, they should
1) Not fall for deals that sound too good to be true, because they ARE too good to be true;
2) Check for prior complaints with the Better Business Bureau, and
3) Enlist the help of an experienced Realtor(R).
