Just when I thought I'd seen everything, we came across this in an older house on Fleming Island. This left us speechless! We laughed until we cried - after we were mildly horrified at the idea that anyone - what kind of person would? - have you ever seen anything like it in your house wanderings? Do tell if you have! Meanwhile, ROTFL at this one!
That is, ummm, a little different than most homes... wonder what the next owner will do when remodeling...
If that was a former nudist colony they wouldn't need privacy! ;) That's funny.
Looks like something from Samantha Jones (Sex and the City) apartment would have...Yikes!
You mean sliders to the porch from the shower? Yes I have - often with properties that have pools :) But then I know a couple with outdoor showers and no sliders too!
Pat - Samantha Jones . . . that's funny! Perhaps they needed the natural sunlight for health purposes? Maybe it was a blind person's home - nope, didn't see any blinds!
I must admit I have not seen this before but I can see the usefulness of the design!
What in the world were they thinking? I'd be paranoid the entire time. God help anyone that looked in on me while I was showering though....I'd have to kill them with my razor, lol.
Donna, I think it's kept any future owners from buying!
Lynda, right!
Pat, well it was built in the swingin 70s - maybe it was part of parties!
Liz, you got it! Shower, slider, deck and back yard!
Pat, I'm thinking they wanted both an indoor and outdoor shower? At least that's what the builder told them! Somewhere along the line they didn't buy it because they put up the board.
Marney, there certainly is light!
Gary, useful but not modest!
Elizabeth, you crack me up! I don't know what they were thinking, it just looks wierd!
Looks like a Hazmat shower from my younger years...
I hope you had a great weekend Frank and Sharon...
Paul
I think Liz nailed it, Sharon! Not much chance of any mold with all that sunlight!
Paul, yikes!
Bruce, I guess there's always at least one good thing you can say about a situation.
Marchel, it really caught me by surprise!
Well... um... Well... I guess I am not sure I would want them as a neighbor...
They were pretty popular in the 70's. However, they did have an atrium outside the sliders..... Not sure I've ever seen one like this..... Kinky!
That IS one of the perks of our profession - we witness a lot of individual tastes. :)
Pam, I've heard our town had a lot of swingers in the 70s - this would fit right in!
Gail, that's what I thought :)
Lori, we do, won't we? LOL
