Did You See Anything Like This On The Way To Work This Morning? (Gawking..)

mooers realty maine moose eating    This is a lot of hamburg...saw Mr Giant Moose while enjoying the countryside and sunrise on the way into work from the lake this morning.  Do you have critters like this to spot heading to work...or are you looking at the back of six lanes of bumpers with angry people making lots of creative hand gestures?  Do you take an hour to get to work in the morning...on a good day if you leave when it is dark to avoid the rush? Ready to trade in that life in your  urban area for simple rural lifestyle?  What are you waiting for?  A stroke...or do you like stress of wondering if you are going to get stuck up on the way from your office to your car in the 32 story parking garage tonight? Eating on the run to catch the train...getting home late...missing dinner ? Kinda tired all the time? Getting a tire around the middle...vegging out in front of the tube every night...sucking down too many suds? Slower life, friendlier people in Northern Maine!  Had a fellow from Philly in the office two weeks ago and he said..."pssst...can I ask you a question?  Why are people waving at me?"  I told him they are being friendly.  He said "I don't know these people."  I told him they don't know you either.  Just wave back. He said "No No...I mean they are stopping to let me go first into the bank parking lot with my car, they nod their heads to me in respect and are smiling...what do they want?"  I told them they are being kind and just want you to wave back.  He said "Where I am from, you don't make eye contact, you are always prepared for some pyscho that is hopped up on something to damage your car, steal your wallet or just freak out in a harmful way...when people are friendly I immediately wonder what's up...and where are my kids...come on Helen...the "let's get out of here phobia" creeps in..."  I told him you will get used to not locking your doors, going to community bean suppers Saturday night for someone that lost their home in a fire or is needing a little financial help as they recover from cancer, etc.  Fishing the lakes and streams, enjoying golf several days a week, hiking, and relaxing! Small town...people care, people are involved...you know your neighbor!mooers realty maine moose in pond

First thing I saw this morning on the way to work, going up our drive, was our little newborn (late yesterday) calf - I THINK a bull calf but Mama's being cautious enough to keep him away from the pickup.

And, yes, of course you wave when you pass another vehicle!  Sheesh!  What, were you raised in a barn?

Hand just goes up...automatically...eventually you do know all these people on the way to work and the corner store.  The wildlife difinitely add to the scenery huh?  Andy

Ah, yes, the good life!  It used to be like that here in Nazareth, PA.  Now that the city people are moving in, it's just not the same.  Although the natives still are friendly.

Thesa...you would not want to see it too close or too up close and personal...this fella could do alot of damage on the road late at night and being dark, don't see him until you are right on him at 55 miles per hour...oh oh....look out look out...(smashing metal, hamburg and Andy the broker man flying everywhich way.  Fun from a distance..I drove up closer thru a field of clover to capture the Kodak moment.

Brigita...as long as the locals are friendly, when that stops or it gets too crowded...load up the Chevy wagon and head north..we'll find you a nice little bungalow to come home to spend your time before the nursing home bell rings...seriously...when it is not fun where you are now, you need to move!
