Sellers! Clear the snow from steps & sidewalks!

By
Real Estate Agent with Better Homes & Gardens Premier VA 0225101026

I know this should go with out saying, but after spending last weekend showing homes to two different buyers, I realize how the lack of snow removal not only creates a hazard, but it also gives a buyer a bad impression of your home.

I have used the heel of by boot or even a hammer when needed to clear icey steps for my clients to have safe access to the front door.  During my snow removal process I have had clients curse the Seller for not maintaning their property AND I have had buyers who simply take one look at the ice skating rink condition of the front steps and say "eh, never mind".

Clear the steps so you can clear the way for buyers to get to your front door!

Heather - sounds like common sense to me, but then again, I live in Phoenix - don't have to shovel sunshine!  ;)  Stay warm up there!

How funny, I just carry a snow shovel in the back of my car now a days along with an extra pair of boots. The life of a Realtor.....
