I was just reading a blog by Kathleen Cooper, who is a gen Y, how she loves "teckieagents".  Specifically how they text and don't waste her time.  Graet blog.  There are so many time stealer's in this business.

I have watched gen Y type people like Kathleen text.  Their thumbs are a blur.  I have no idea how they have such delicate and quick moving motions with their thumbs.  We used to use ours to thumb for rides.  That was when it was safe to do for guys.

The issue is repetitive motion and the long term affects on thumbs.  Won't they wear out like carpal tunnel problems?  People in my generation (Boomers) are having knees, hips, etc replaced every day because of over use.  I am sure that texting will be voice activated in the future.

We know that Realtors have never had jaws, mouths, tongues, etc replaced from over use:)

Funny! I have some who prefer text, some who prefer email, some who prefer phone and some who prefer face to face - I think you are right though, the Gen Y crowd might have above-average-incidences of arthritic thumbs!

I don't text like the kids, but definitely like to incorporate it in my business.  It's so much faster and saves me time to do other things.  :-)  

Wish we had it back when I was in school!  LOL
