Baby, It's Cold Outside!

By

It had to happen sooner or later, but for some reason, I wasn't expecting it today.  Not when we had 65 degree temps just last week!

When I woke up this morning, the temp was around 20 degrees.  That was our high temp- it soon started to drop and snow.  The snow began with mist and rain that soon froze into a sheet of ice on the roads.  That has since been covered with snow that has continued to cover our roads and walks.

Tomorrow's high is set for 0.  Yes, that's "zero".  Think I'm gonna get under some blankets with my tea and read some blogs.

Stay warm, folks- it's cold outside!

Jenn,

Sorry, to hear of your surprise cold snap. Sounds like it time to make an... iceman... yes that's it.

Best,

Jenn - Our toasty little oasis (high 30s) is taking a dive also with 0 being a number in our days again in the near future. Keep warm, but above all, keep safe.

Oh my gosh Jenn, that looks so cold.  It turned pretty cold here in Pullman WA also.  I'm already looking forward to Spring.

Jennifer, Yesterday was fairly warm (my sweet son washed and waxed my car, free of all the salt and sand).

Wasn't so cold in NY today, but I expect by tomorrow we'll all be inside too!

Ma- brrrrRRRRRR!!  I think I've gotten soft living out here in Denver... Chicago winters were fierce!  MA winters are even fiercer!

Nor- get your parka and your toque!  I remember Toronto winters when i was so cold my feet froze from the concrete- and I was wearing boots.

Dan- Batten down the hatches.  Stay WARM!

Steve- that's the crummy thing about it being so darn cold.  Even though there is snow, it's not good snow for snow/iceman making...

Larry- thanks... you stay safe too!  My daughter's school got canceled and she wants to organize a field trip with me driving.  No thanks!!!

Olga- I think the worst part is the surprise.  I was outside walking all afternoon in the sun just yesterday.

Ellen- It will probably make it's way to you in a bit... We've missed most of the gnarly stuff this winter, so I guess it's our turn, huh?

Jennifer...we've been spoiled with 60 degree temps for the last three days.  It is supposed to be windy and rainy tomorrow and then a drop in temps with the high near 40. Not near as cold as your neck of the woods or as snowy.  Stay warm!

Jennifer,

You need to move to CA.

But we do have earthquakes.

Laura- it's been fairly freezing in NJ too, hasn't it?

Kim- showoff!  Haha! Yes, I guess it's all relative isn't it?

Lloyd- Earthquakes and mudslides vs. COLD.....  I'll have to think about that one... ;-)

Steve- true.  It has been an incredibly warm winter so it is even more of a shock when the cold arrives!
