Got a sweety? Looking for a nice place to go for Valentines day in Portland? Look no further! My friends and musicians Aaron Meyer and Tim Ellis are teaming up once again with the Portland City Grill for a special Valentines Day...er evening event..."Valentines in the Sky"

I've had the pleasure of not only hearing them both play live in several venues. I've also enjoyed hearing the known rock violinist Aaron Meyer in his home while we enjoyed dinner prepared by a well known Thai Chef. A great evening!

Tim Ellis, an amazing guitarist is one of the partners of a recording studio here in Portland called Kung Fu Bakery as well as part of the Tim and Jim duo that play at Haydens Lakefront Bar & Grill in Tualatin (a hang out of mine).

Both Aaron and Tim regularly donate their talent each year for a fundraiser to support Transitional Youth, a program to help the homeless youth of Portland as well as many other organizations.

If you've ever been to the Portland City Grill, you know it's a fabulous restaurant, with fantastic views of the City. The combination of great music, delicious food paired with some fine wines is a wonderful way to tell your loved one how special they are! I'll be there..hope to see you there! Hi Jill, It was a really nice. Aaron is a really down to earthy guy and made you feel really comfy and welcome in his home. It was supposed to be an evening outside, but being Portland, it started to downpout, so tables were all set up in his living and dining room. He played in his living room in front of his grand piano, we were sitting on the couch within 3 feet. Talk about a private concert!

Hi Cindy-we won't make it for Valentine's Day due to my husband's work schedule.  We are going to the Pinot and Chocolate Festival at Willamette Valley Vineyards over the weekend though.  We will definitely be making a trip up to stay the night and try out this restaurant though.

Let me know if you are coming down.  I think we may go Saturday at 11 am, but we may switch to Saturday evening.  The cellar tastings are definitely worth the extra $5.  I did a blog about it on my blog if you want more info.  It should be my last one at this point.
