From 0-60 err, from 60-0 brr in 48 hours. Wow  what a difference a couple days make, Friday and Saturday many of Denver's golf courses were very busy, today it is too cold to ski! The current temperature is 2 degrees and we are supposed to get down to -13 overnight. Now from a non-Colorado perspective you might think that is normal, au contraire, we maybe have 3-5 days a year where the temperature will drop below zero. Schools are closed across most of the region, and we will typically see 2-3 days per year where the schools are closed due to weather.

Even with a high fore-casted for -2 zero tomorrow the sun will be shining, and like we say in Colorado its a "dry cold" so it feels like 10 degrees, seriously we have 300 days of sunshine and I have golfed every day of the year except for Christmas (I could have golfed this year on Christmas, the weather was very nice). I enjoy the cold days near the fireplace because I know they are not going to be around very long. I just finished ordering the Chlorine for the neighborhood pool here in The Knolls so I know summer is just around the corner. Another golf article is due for Colorado Golf magazine so warm thoughts are filling the cold crisp Colorado air. I would not trade it for anywhere in the world.

I will be golfing by the weekend!

Sometimes I miss Colorado (moved from Denver in 1995) and sometimes I don't.  Was a chilly 75 today here in Tampa and the driving range about 2 miles away was doing a "brisk" business.

Steven- I am jealous, funny thing id years ago I moved from Denver to the mountains because I loved the cold and snow, in fact I bought a house with a large horse corral that I wanted to convert to a hockey rink, now if the temperature dips below 60 I want to gt on the next plane to your part of the country.

Michele- I have seen the news for the New England states and I want no part of that either, although I would love to get up there in the late spring or early fall, when all the colors change.
