Are you looking for great walking trails in the Beaverton / Hillsboro area? Then look no further than Rock Creek Trail which is maintained by the Hillsboro Parks and Recreation Department. This park is amazing and everywhere we went we could hear the animals. We saw ducks, robins, blue jays, squirrels and we could hear geese and frogs. (Never saw them, but they were there)

Rock Creek Trail in Hillsboro, Oregon

We even found a couple Geocaches in the park, so if you are in to that, then make sure you stop here. Now, we also discovered a couple offshoots of the main trail and we are going to have to go back, because we didn’t have the time or the energy to follow them as well.

But, we certainly had fun on the walking trails in Hillsboro and parking was easy. We actually ended up parking next to the Tanasbourne Community Police station and then jumped right on the trail from there.

So, have a fun afternoon, take a hike on the great trails at Rock Creek Trail Park. Click here to see a map of the park and to get directions to Rock Creek Trail Park.

Todd, it is thrilling to hear that you are interested in trails. It is such an important part of who we are in Oregon. Rain or shine we can enjoy where we are.

Todd, that's what I should be doing right now ...connecting with nature instead of nature connecting with me with all the snow that has to be shoveled here...Beaverton, OR is the place to enjoy.

Sounds like a great trail and reminds me to get the family out as soon as it warms up a little.

I like the slide show you added. I have walked my fair share of trails. This sounds like a good one.

The Portland, OR area is beautiful.

Yes, it does rain a lot in the winter, but that is how all of this beauty receives it's needed water.

Bethany Pond is a neat place to take the family.  It is so easy for accesss.  Nice concrete walking trail, and you can also walk in the grass.  Nice pond that has fish to catch and so much grass.  This one is not full or tress, so you may wnat to avoid on the hot summer days.
