Yesterday, I received a comment on my post that I deleted. I wish I had waited. I was exhausted from being up since 1:30am and a full day at the retreat I am attending. Followed that up with a couple of hours at the office and was just dog tired when I finally got around to reading email and blogs.
I deleted that post because it struck me as negative - not negative as in a constructive critique or a differing point of view, but negative in an attacking way. If I were to sum it up it would be something like this - I'm great, the rest of you are full of ____.
I wish I had kept that because maybe I was wrong. Maybe I was too tired to really get the person's point. But here's my point - Who you are speaks louder than words. And in the long run, being a good real estate agent, a successful real estate agent and a person that is an asset to others and the planet is about who you are and not so much about the words coming out of your mouth.
I was glad to read these posts this morning (after some great sleep!)
Survey Shows Buyers And Sellers Use Technology And Want Personal Services
In the latest issue of CAR's Real Estate Trends:
- 81% - percentage of buyers who used the Internet during their most recent transaction and also used a Realtor.
- 5.8 Weeks - Average time Internet buyers spent considering a home purchase BEFORE talking with a Realtor, compared with 2 weeks for a traditional buyer.
- 70% - percentage of home buyers that use the Internet at some point during the home purchase process vs. 28 percent in 2000.
Part of the point I want to make I talked about on my Keller Williams San Ramon CA blog a while back - The Power of NO
In the long run, who we are determines everything.
