My mind is sometimes curiously puzzled about the economy and where the real estate industry is going.
Not that long ago the average price for a house in Hollis, NH was between $350,000 and $400,000 and the average price in Nashua was around $300,000. Now the average price in Nashua is around $200,000 and Hollis is under $300,000. Seems like the prices keep dropping, however, we hear economists say the market is turning.
What baffles me even further is the fact that because of all the foreclosures people don't have any place to live. Thus, the rental market is up, up, UP.
So if you are one of those real estate agents that doesn't want to handle a short sale, never works with rentals, then you might want to re-engineer your head.
If you are also scratching your head, observing how there is no longer business just dropping in your lap, you might want to consider what you need to do to HUNT for that business.
We're on the internet, blogging, making connections with our social media - how much of that turns into real business? Are we blogging our thoughts away in la la real estate fantasy island?
Work a short sale, take some training, take a rental (later on it might turn into a sale), and do some hard work. Change the way you think about life. Get a new attitude! Get on the pathway to success.
